THE FOUNDATION OF LAMEDICA
Working in the tradition of Trota of Salerno
LAMEDICA draws on a long history: Trota of Salerno, the first named female physician in Europe. As early as the 11th century, she championed women's health at the Schola Medica Salernitana, committed to making medical knowledge accessible and taking women's needs seriously.
Her writings shaped women's medicine for centuries and stand for what LAMEDICA carries forward today: a modern, evidence-based form of medicine that takes a stand and puts the woman at its centre:

THE VISUAL IDENTITY OF LAMEDICA
From the soft, organic forms of the medieval script of Trota of Salerno and the Latin word "ea" (meaning "she"), the content foundation of the brand identity emerged.
These two forms merge into an open symbol that expresses connection, protection and care.
"Ea" thus becomes the visual essence of the brand: a sign that places the woman at its centre and carries Trota's legacy into the present.
